Why We Like Trint
We like Trint for its high level of accuracy, even when dealing with jargon-heavy text and its story building tool (though this took a bit of work to get the hang of), rich feature set, and its super easy user interface, one of the best we have seen. And it automatically removed the “ahhs and umms,” enhancing the clarity of your content.

Trint's Pros & Cons
Pros:
Accuracy: Trint's AI-powered transcription is often more accurate than human transcriptionists, especially for clear recordings with no background noise or strong accents. Trint averaged 87% accuracy in our “jargon” testing.
Speed: Trint can transcribe audio very quickly, often in real-time for pre-recorded audio. 4 minutes and 45 seconds of audio took approximately 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Easy to use: The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, even for non-technical users, with big, easy to see buttons. You can easily edit and format the transcripts, add speaker labels, and export them in various formats.
Translation Feature: Trint can translate transcripts into 50 languages.
Cons:
Cost: Trint can be expensive compared to other AI transcription services, especially for casual users.
Live Transcription (web and mobile): This feature is only available under the enterprise plan.
Lack of Integrations: While Zoom has direct integration, MS Teams and Google Meet are not supported.
Lack of Popular Features: Although it bills itself as a productivity platform, the lack of meeting summaries and the inability to assign tasks from the transcripts are a drawback.
Ideal Users of Trint: Tailoring Transcription for Professionals
We recommend Trint for power users, even though it claims it is designed for anyone who needs to transcribe audio or video content. This includes journalists, content marketers, podcasters, educators, and small to large teams. Trint is particularly useful in the media and entertainment industry for transcribing interviews, podcasts, and more.
In short, if accurate transcripts done quickly are important to you or your work, Trint is well worth considering. For casual users, we still recommend OtterAi.
Pricing
Trint offers three main pricing plans: Starter, Advanced, and Enterprise.
The Starter plan is priced at $80 per month or $52 per month if billed annually. This plan is ideal for individual users or small teams who handle moderate transcription tasks. For those who need unlimited transcriptions, the Advanced plan is available at $100 per month or $60 per month if billed annually, making upgrading to Advanced for annual billing the best value option.
For larger teams or businesses with specific needs, Trint offers an Enterprise plan, for which you'll need to contact Trint for pricing.
Ease of Use
Trint shines with its user-friendly interface and intuitive layout. Uploading audio or video files is a breeze, and the platform is web-based, so there's no need to download anything to your computer. It's compatible with a variety of browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox, making it accessible no matter your preferred browser.
Key Features
Trint's main features include AI-powered transcription, speaker identification, and support for various audio and video file formats It has transcription in more than 40 languages (46 by my hand count, including English) and automatic language detection.*
Trint’s AI can translate any transcript into more than 50 languages. A wild and incredibly useful feature.
Trint's Create Caption allows you to select all or portions of your transcribed text from a video file to automatically create captions at the appropriate place in the video, and then edit them in a split screen.
*Note: It's not entirely true that Trint can automatically detect and transcribe any spoken language live. While it offers automatic language detection for pre-recorded files, its live transcription feature is English only.
See the complete list of languages available in Trint for transcription and translation in our detailed review.
Stand Out Feature
Trint's standout feature is its story-building capability. By adding multiple audio or video files to one Story, you can clip certain quotes or sections from multiple transcripts, as well as video and sounds clips, and use them to build a story or script. This feature is particularly useful for those in media or content marketing and collaboration.
How Trint Works
Trint uses AI to convert speech to text in seconds. It matches the sounds to the corresponding word in its dictionary and displays those words in the transcript. With good audio and clear speech, Trint can provide a first-draft, time-coded transcript that can be 99% accurate. See our step-by-step guide for transcribing with Trint at the end of our detailed review.
Trint Integrations
Integration is where Trint could stand to improve. While Trint integrates smoothly with various media managers and apps like Zapier, Zoom, and Adobe Premiere Pro, it does not have direct integration with Goole Meet or MS Teams, a deal breaker for many users.

Trint Detailed Review
Want to know about Trint? Read on for our detailed review, testing methods and step-by-step guide for transcribing a file in Trint.
How We Tested
We used Trint in real world situations, including video conferencing in Zoom and Google Meet. In addition to be exposed to those environments, we also had a variety of accents and English language capabilities to test (American, Indian and Thai).
For the meetings, we tested accuracy with the same transcripts as our Otter AI review. We compared audio file uploads to our pre-written transcripts to see how well it matched up for accuracy. These were jargon filled files for marketing, legal, and medical; so, it was really put to the test.
We used the Trint Advanced Plan for our tests. Because we did not have an enterprise version, we could not test the live transcription feature.
Test Results
Accuracy:
Overall, our testing showed Trint was 87% accurate when the written scripts were compared to the files. Surprisingly, Trint did very well on the medical jargon, and worse on the marketing jargon. The likely clause was the contextual nature of the marketing script, which had a number of applied principles, while the medical script was very fact based.
Transcription Speed (audio):
In our test, it took just under 1 minute and 40 seconds (uploaded almost instantly from the desktop) to transcribe 4 minutes and 45 seconds of audio. Both files were MP3, 831 KB and 833 KB, both recorded in Google Meet.
Transcription Speed (video):
In our test, it took 28 minutes and 10 seconds (not including the 5 minutes and 37 seconds to unload the file from my desktop) to transcribe 1 hour and 35-minute of video. The file was an MP4, 459 MB video file from Zoom.
Handling Accents:
The translation here was very accurate for the American and the Indian, who both spoke clearly, though the Indian had a thick accent. The AI did less well with the Thai, who often spoke more softly, and who’s pronunciation in English was not perfect.
For example, this is the transcription:
“Thai Speaker: Okay. So I think, we can take that like a police department use case and technical department and, functional equipment. In itself and will sit in the same sky if we have to for. I mean, they have a TV and call.”
vs what was actually said:
“Thai Speaker: So I think, we can dig down like the business requirement and use case, right? And the technical requirement and the functional requirement. Let me check in the excel file scoring, if we have for, I mean if we have a sheet, and call.”
Admittedly, I had to replay this section several times myself to transcribe it.
There was also a lot of technical jargon, as it was a technical vendor selection meeting, and it handled the jargon it very well.
Zoom Integration:
The Zoom integration worked perfectly.

How Trint Works:

Once you've uploaded your files, Trint's AI gets to work transcribing your content. This process is fast, with the AI working at about half the length of your file to produce a completed transcript.
Step 2: Let the AI Do the Work
Trint uses advanced speech recognition software to automatically convert your audio into text. This AI-powered transcription outperforms manual transcription in terms of speed, collaboration, security, and cost. It's important to note that while Trint's AI is powerful, it's not perfect.
Factors such as background noise, people talking at the same time, and strong regional accents can affect the accuracy of the transcription. The editor also offers a range of tools to help you refine your transcript, including the ability to add markers to points of interest, make notes, and add custom words to a personalized dictionary.
Step 4: Collaborate and Share
